Ever thought of hiring a Nanny? New Resident Solutions may have just the answer for you - it’s TANG, the Triangle Area Nanny Group Time not your own? Both
of you busy professionals? New resident to the area and are really concerned about the care your children receive while
you are at work? Ever thought about a Nanny?
How does one go about finding a local, capable Nanny, find out
about what a good Nanny costs, check references? Must they live in house?
As you may be aware, the Research
Triangle Area of North Carolina has many professional couples who have just these types of questions. New Resident Solutions
may have just the answer for you, it’s TANG, the Triangle Area Nanny Group.
TANG, created
as a support and playgroup for nannies and their charges, is run by Tracy Chipps, Founder & President, who can be reached
at tang@nc.rr.com. Simply send Tracy an email at the above address. She will respond to your questions and be happy to clue
you in on excellent Nannies with contracts that may be ending soon. She can also provide some high quality Nanny references
for you, answer some specific questions, and tell you, (as she did me), what she thinks of the Nanny pay web sites.
To answer one of my questions, most of the Nannies in Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham do not live with the families they work
for, but live in their own home. Being a Nanny can be a job with regular hours. A Nanny can have very specific
contracted duties, which the families and the nanny agree upon up front. Another great thing about TANG is that it doesn’t
cost you anything to inquire.
You may ask, how did a dry cleaner whose sons are grown and gone, (mostly), get hooked
up with a Nanny group? The answer is simple; we have many Nannies from Chapel Hill, Durham, & Chatham County who come
to our drive through with their charges looking for convenience. We hook them up with Carolina Cleaners’ Pickup
and Delivery service, offer quality cleaning, convenient billing and save everyone a ton of time!
Out of curiosity,
I got into a conversation with one of our new Nannies the other day about what a Nanny does and she hooked me up with Tracy,
who was a fountain of fantastic information.
Tracy also suggested going to the below site for information about
local nannies and other similar topics: www.hr.duke.edu/family/nanny_au_pair.html#local_agencies
